Description
The Sun Odyssey 409 is a luxurious high performance cruiser with extra emphasis on easy handling. This Phillipe Briand designed performance hull is ocean "A" rated meaning she is designed to be self-sufficient for extended ocean voyages in significant wave height and winds. Her unique hard-chined hull design offers more interior volume than most other 41’ sailboats. This 409 was commissioned in 2016 making her one of the last 409 MODELS produced and has many upgraded features closer to the 419 than compared to earlier 409 model years. She is being sold by her second owners and has never been chartered. Arguably the cleanest 409 you will find, ‘Cloud Nine’ shows pride of ownership and is ready to cruise. Features: 3 staterooms, 2 heads In mast furling main sail Yanmar diesel with Saildrive Bow thruster Defender RIB300 with 9.8 hp Tohatsu Bottom painted in 2022 Annual maintenance & haulout just completed ( April 2023 - cut polish, wax hull and deck, zincs and full engine service) ***No Luxury Tax***
Very clean Jeanneau 409 in Vancouver
Very clean Jeanneau 409 in Vancouver With her clean lines and the contemporary Euro-chic styling it is easy to see why the 409 won accolades as the 2011 European Yacht of the Year in the Family Cruisers category and why she is one of the best selling boats in the Pacific Northwest. Stepping aboard you enter a large cockpit with teak sole and ample seating around an amidships folding table and console with storage. The transom has a fold-down swim platform underneath a custom stainless arch and davit system suspending the newer RIB tender. Cockpit lockers provide storage and space for the propane bottles. The deck forward is clean and uncluttered, with all working lines routed through conduits. With her twin wheels, in mast furling and all lines leading aft ‘Cloud Nine’ is a boat that can easily be single handed. She has a Delta anchor with ample rode and an electric windlass. Below decks the Jeanneau 409 has one of the largest and brightest salons in her class. The cabin and companionway entry features hinged acrylic doors instead of hatch boards, just like the 419. The luxurious Alpi wood interior adds a nice touch to the angular European styling and the 409 is built to accommodate 6’3”headroom. The numerous windows provide visibility with natural light in all interior areas and 10 opening hatches provide great ventilation. The galley is aft to starboard near the companionway. It features a large top and front loading Frigo fridge so things stay organized. A double burner gimballed stove with oven, double stainless sinks and plentiful storage space. Aft of the galley on either side of the companionway are mirrored double staterooms offering good storage, light and ventilation. Across from the galley to port is the larger guest/day head with a separate stall shower with an ingenious acrylic divider. Forward of the head on port is the nav station with built in seats fore and aft. Across to starboard is the large table and U-shaped settee which can easily seat six people while dining. A large tv is mounted on the bulkhead forward of the settee. The master/owners stateroom is in the bow with a centerline double berth and ensuite head offering good storage, light and ventilation. Throughout the boat there are well placed cupboards, storage areas and hanging lockers allowing for extended cruising. Engine access is from the front underneath the companionway stairs and from each side through two removable hatches in each of the two aft cabins.
