Description The Discovery 246 - an amazingly versatile boat, ideal for both cruising and fishing in the Pacific Northwest. The boat has a stable deep-v hull and a physical toughness that provides security when conditions are gnarly. The aft deck has a full enclosure for those rainy days in Vancouver. The side curtains roll up or can be taken off and the top can be taken right off for an open air ride or for fishing, a walk-through transom gate, swim platform, transom shower and a Magna BBQ. Forward is fibreglass hard top, a large windshield with great visibility (real windows and wipers) and side windows that open for ventilation. There is seating for 6, two at the helm and 4 in the cockpit. The helm is well equipped with electronics that include a compass, a Lowrance HDS depth sounder, Standard Horizon VHF radio, Bennett trim tab controls, searchlight control and sound system control. Garmin plotter and radar are NOT operable. The foredeck has a non skip surface, Danforth anchor and Lowrance windlass. C omfortable Accommodations . Large windows along the sides and forward provide natural light and a spacious feel in the cabin. There is a Jensen sound system with speakers forward in the cabin and on the aft deck. The galley has an Origo alcohol/electric stove top, a Tappan microwave, a Norcold AC/DC refrigerator, a stainless sink, Corean counter top and lots of storage. Alongside is the dinette that seats 4, and converts into a berth. Forward is a v-berth, and behind the galley is an aft double berth. The boat easily sleeps 4 adults. The head has a sink and vanity, an electric head and a shower fed by a six-gallon water tank. Mercury 9.9 outboard is available to purchase separately.
