Description 27' Hacker-Craft built by Fish Brothers “The Great Gatsby” was built by the highly regarded custom builder Fish Brothers of Queensbury, NY in 2000. This custom runabout is a one-of-a-kind replica that reflects the builder’s efforts to comply with the original design lines, instrumentation, and upholstery of the Hacker-Craft. It is a triple cockpit runabout, a replica of the 26' Hacker-Craft Dolphin circa 1928 built by the Hacker Boat Company in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. It is reminiscent of the hydroplanes referred to by the writer F. Scott Fitzgerald in his classic American novel about the roaring 20’s. With today’s boat-building technology and materials , “The Great Gatsby” was fabricated for lasting durability, strength, appearance, and unmatched performance . She is powered by a 502 Merc MPI 400 HP engine and is capable of speeds in excess of 50 MPH. The current owner has maintained her to the highest standard.
